First Presbyterian Church Clarksville, AR

"Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven."

~Henry Ward Beecher

"Whoever welcomes one of these these little children in my name welcomes me."

~ Mark 9:37

Children are a vital part of life at FPCC participating in worship, mission, fellowship and spiritual formation.  Programs are designed carefully in order to teach children about God's love and help them grow in love, service and devotion to God.  Our calling as disciples of Jesus Christ is a life long calling and we believe it is part of the church's vocation to nurture and encourage our children as they journey with us in faith.

Sunday School

Children's Sunday School meets weekly before Sunday worship. Children of all ages gather in the third floor children's area for fellowship and spiritual formation.  Sunday School is Biblically based and led by volunteers and parents.

Worship Leadership

Each Sunday, children serve in worship as acolytes (who light the candles in the sanctuary) and crucifer (who carries the processional cross into worship).  Children of all ages are invited to participate in worship leadership.

Children's Fellowship

Children's fellowship activities include weekly fellowship time during our Wednesday night Jacob's Well intergenerational activities and monthly events.  Past children's fellowship events include:

  • a day at the Little Rock Zoo
  • swim party
  • movie days
  • overnight church lock-in
